Successful project meeting in Ljubljana
On 14th and 15th of May 2025, the SafePolyMed consortium convened in Ljubljana, Slovenia, for the 5th progress meeting. The meeting took place in the spacious and light-filled meeting rooms of Centre Rog in the heart of Ljubljana and was hosted by Vita Dolžan, Tanja Blagus, David Vogrinc, Teja Muha and Katja Goricar from University of Ljubljana.
The first day focused on the progress of the scientific work packages and allowed for an in-depth discussion of the upcoming start of the clinical study. Experts from the clinical partners LUMC, University of Ljubljana and Universitätsklinikum Aachen discussed the process and timeframe of recruiting and registering patients and exchanged their views on the last open points. In the evening, the partners came together to take a guided tour through the beautiful historical centre of Ljubljana and exchanged over dinner. The second day started off with a discussion of the communication and dissemination strategy, specifically regarding upcoming publications to disseminate the results gathered so far. Next, the consortium discussed key exploitable results and joint ownership in preparation for a strategic exploitation of the most promising project results after the completion of the project. Lastly, the workflow for the upcoming periodic report was announced to allow for a smooth process. However, the highlight of the second day consisted of presentations by three doctors reporting on their experience with polymedication in patients. Many thanks for the insightful presentations and discussions to
