SafePolyMed Launches Second Edition of Training on Safety in Polypharmacy

Following the success of the first edition, SafePolyMed, under the lead of project partner LeukaNET e.V. and with support from Patvocates GmbH, is launching a second free online training course on safety in polypharmacy in April.

Polymedication, the simultaneous use of several medications, can cause adverse drug reactions. However, not all patients, caregivers, and patient advocates are aware of the risks and vulnerability factors. The course Safety in Polypharmacy aims to improve knowledge on these issues. It also aims to equip and encourage patients to take an active role in managing their own health. Seven separate sessions throughout April will inform participants about the following topics:

  • Introduction to Polymedication, 3.4.25 (Thursday), 15:00 CEST
  • Drug-Drug Interactions (DDIs), 8.4.25 (Tuesday), 15:00 CEST
  • Drug-Gene- (DGIs) & Drug-Drug-Gene Interactions (DDGIs), 10.4.25 (Thursday), 15:00 CEST
  • Vulnerability Factors, 17.4.25 (Thursday), 15:00 CEST
  • Patient Reporting & PROMs, 22.4.25 (Tuesday), 15:00 CEST
  • Safety Signal Reporting & Digital Tools, 24.4.25 (Thursday), 15:00 CEST
  • Data Safety, Privacy and GDPR, 29.4.25 (Tuesday), 15:00 CEST

Each session will take 90 minutes and allow for questions and answers towards the end.

To participate in any of these events, please register by filling out this form.

The training sessions will be hosted via video meeting (Zoom), with materials available on the learning platform (Moodle). Attending is free of charge. Participants must speak English, as the training will be held in English. There will be no final exam, although certificates of attendance can be provided for those attending at least 75% of the sessions.
